Sexually transmitted diseases or sexually transmitted infections can be transferred from an infected person to a non-infected individual through sexual contact. According to the report of center for disease control and prevention, there are more than 15 million sexually transmitted cases recorded annually in the United States. It has been seen that 90 percent of the cases are seen in young and adolescents that is ranging between the ages of 15 to 24. STD's have more severe affects on women rather men. They should be treated as soon as possible in order to ignore the more adverse effects. - Human papilloma Virus - this Human papilloma virus is considered to be the main cause of cervical cancer in humans. This can also lead to other kinds of cancer in the reproductive system of the female body. You will be surprised o know that there is no permanent cure for this virus. - HIV - this is the most popular and most harmful STD. People are really worried about it as the treatment can affect a normal individual's life adversely. This virus ultimately leads to AIDS and eventually death. People suffering from this disease cannot enjoy a perfectly healthy life. More than 40 million people are affected from this virus worldwide and 50% of the ratio is of women.
